Schonbachler is neither a one-person shop nor a firm in the conventional sense. A small core group works across most mandates. Beyond it sits a bench of senior practitioners — bankers, lawyers, trustees, tax counsel and sector specialists — brought in as each piece of work requires, in four regions. They are named on the Network page.
The structure is deliberate. A client gets the specific person who does the specific thing, rather than whoever happens to be free; and nobody is selling a product to justify a seat. Everyone involved is engaged in their own regulated capacity, and the relationships stay with the client.

THE FOUNDER.
Jerome Schonbachler founded the practice in 2018, after more than 25 years in global finance.
A graduate of École Centrale Paris and an alumnus of Harvard Business School, he built his career at Crédit Lyonnais, Paribas, Citibank and EFG Bank, across capital markets and alternative investments, with mandates spanning Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He remains an active principal and board member across Swiss and international financial institutions.
He set the practice up to work the way he thought advisory should work: assembled around the mandate, paid for advice rather than product, and open about who is actually doing the work.
